The Warm Bender is a fuzz pedal built around three selectable circuits. The NOS 76 setting is based on an original MKI Tone Bender and gives a cutting, present sound. The NOS 75 setting follows the Mark II Professional style, with more bass and a warmer fuzz. The third option is a proprietary silicon three-transistor circuit that behaves more like a modern distortion.
Construction is entirely through-hole, and the two germanium settings use NOS germanium transistors. A SAG control starves the voltage to imitate a dying battery, which adds touch sensitivity and compression to the fuzz.
The pedal is sized for a pedalboard. The maker positions it for rhythm, riff, picking and solo playing, and pairs it with its Centavo overdrive pedal. A manual and product registration are available from the maker.
