RF PRO

The RF Pro is a reflection filter built from a multilayer construction that is designed to work evenly across the frequency range, so the room's contribution to a recording is reduced without adding tonal colouration. It sits behind the microphone and limits the reflections from walls that would otherwise bounce back into it, which helps a close-miked source arrive drier. The filters are made by hand in the maker's own factory.

The mounting hardware was redesigned in 2016 for better stability and easier use. It allows pan and tilt adjustment, and the moving parts are chromated to limit wear. This lets the filter be set at any angle for sources such as vocals, acoustic and electric guitars, amplifiers, drums, room mics and strings.

It is intended for use on a standard upright microphone stand, with a thread adapter supplied. Use on a boom arm stand is possible with a sturdy arm, with careful balancing and counterweighting. Fixing the filter to the arm first and attaching the microphone afterwards is recommended.
