The CUBE-20GX is a compact guitar combo amp with a single 20 cm (8-inch) speaker and 20 W of rated output. It has three channels: JC CLEAN, a LEAD channel with six selectable types (acoustic simulator, overdrive, distortion, metal, metal stack and extreme), and a SOLO channel. The SOLO channel can store a JC CLEAN or LEAD sound together with its EQ and effects settings.
Processing is split into three independent sections: EFX with five effect types (chorus, flanger, phaser, tremolo, heavy octave), DELAY with two types (warm, clear), and REVERB with spring or plate. A three-band EQ and a chromatic/manual tuner are built in. Channels can be switched from the front panel or with an optional BOSS footswitch connected to the FOOT SW jack.
The i-CUBE LINK/AUX IN jack links the amp to an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch using the supplied mini cable, giving two-way audio for music and recording apps. It also works as a stereo auxiliary input for other players. The free CUBE JAM iOS app can play backing tracks and record the amp's sound, exporting mixes as 16-bit, 44.1 kHz WAV files. A RECORDING OUT/PHONES jack allows silent practice and direct recording.
