The twotwo sub1 is an active subwoofer built around two 177mm (7 inch) low-frequency drive units loaded by a 3m (9.8ft) Advanced Transmission Line (ATL). The line is intended to give deeper bass from a compact cabinet than a ported or sealed design. Frequency response is stated as 30Hz to 500Hz, with a sensitivity of 100dB SPL at 1m.
The low-frequency roll-off can be set to 50Hz, 80Hz, 120Hz, 150Hz or 200Hz, so the sub can be matched to different main monitors. Amplification is 600 Wrms per channel built into the cabinet.
For connection there are two balanced analogue XLR female inputs for left and right, plus one AES digital XLR female input. The analogue input impedance is 20k balanced, with a default input sensitivity of 0dB at an input level of -10dBu. The cabinet measures 550 x 200 x 516mm and weighs 18kg. A 20 year warranty is available when the product is registered within 10 days of purchase, subject to terms.
