Launch Control is a bus-powered MIDI controller built around 16 endless rotary encoders, each with an RGB LED showing its relative value, and eight colour-coded assignable buttons. A 128 x 64 monochrome OLED display shows track names and parameter values, and holding Shift while turning an encoder reveals its current value without changing it.
Custom DAW scripts cover Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Cubase, FL Studio and Bitwig, and other DAWs can be used through HUI. Up to seven user-defined Custom Modes can be stored and edited in the Components software. Modes can map buttons to MIDI notes, CCs, program changes and keystrokes, and a mode can be split to control several devices at once. Encoder response curves are adjustable.
Connection to a computer is by USB-C. Standard 5-pin MIDI In, Out and Out2/Thru sockets allow it to route and merge MIDI with hardware synths and effects without a computer. The chassis uses 85% recycled materials. Ableton Live Lite, Cubase LE and plugins from Klevgrand, Baby Audio and Output are included.
