The HP-200 is a closed-back, over-ear headphone built for monitoring work. Its closed enclosure and gradient cavity design are meant to keep outside noise out and send the signal straight to the listener, which suits studio recording, audio-visual work and other critical listening.
Sound comes from 40mm neodymium dynamic drivers with a lightweight voice coil and dual audio damping. Frequency response is stated as 16Hz to 22kHz, with 32 ohm impedance and 98±3dB sensitivity, so it can be driven by a wide range of sources. Rated power is 260mW, with a maximum of 600mW.
The headband and ear cushions are covered in leather, and the headband frame and moving arm are made of stainless steel. The headphone weighs 290g including its cable. The cable is about 3m of straight OFC copper and ends in a 3.5mm plug. A 6.35mm adapter is included for larger headphone outputs.
