The S670QM is a solid-body electric guitar built on Ibanez's S body shape. It combines a quilted maple top with a meranti body and a bolt-on Wizard III maple neck with a rosewood fretboard, off-set white dot inlays and 24 jumbo frets. The neck is described as thin and flat, with a 648mm (25.5") scale and a 400mmR fingerboard radius.

The Edge-Zero II tremolo has a low profile and a stud-lock function for stable tuning, and the guitar also has a locking nut. Pickups are a Quantum humbucker at the neck, a Quantum single-coil-sized pickup in the middle and a Quantum humbucker at the bridge, all passive. A five-way selector gives the neck humbucker, the two blended in-between positions with the middle pickup, the middle pickup alone, and the bridge humbucker.

Controls are kept simple: one volume knob, one tone knob and the five-way switch on the lower edge of the body. It ships with D'Addario EXL120 strings (.009-.042) and Cosmo Black hardware. Ibanez lists the M300C case and IGB540-BK gig bag as recommended accessories.
