Analog drum synthesizer pedal, a reissue of the 1980 original, that makes cymbal, snare and hi-hat style sounds and filter sweeps. It also runs external audio through its resonant filter, and suits players who want a compact analog percussion voice.

The Crash Pad generates percussive sounds through a swept low-pass filter, from cymbal, snare and hi-hat style hits to oscillation sweeps. Start, stop, time, resonance, decay and volume knobs shape the sweep and the volume envelope. This version adds an expression pedal / CV input for real-time control of the filter.
It can be triggered with the on-board pushbutton, an external non-MIDI drum pad, or most clock generators. A sensitivity switch sets how strongly it reacts to an external trigger. An auxiliary input lets outside sound sources pass through the resonant filter. The circuit is analog and the output is mono.
All connections are 1/4" jacks: aux in, external trigger, output and a TRS expression pedal input. The unit sits in a die-cast chassis and runs from the supplied 9.6VDC 200mA power adapter, or an optional 9V battery that is not included.
