Dunes is a smaller, simplified version of the Palisades overdrive. It keeps the Gain, Tone and Level controls and adds a three-way Voice switch, a two-way Bandwidth switch and a Normal/Bright toggle.
The Voice switch selects the clipping type: MOSFET for a tight, crunchy sound, Silicon asymmetrical clipping for lighter gain closest to a classic 808 character, or None, which runs from clean boost to gritty op-amp distortion with a large volume increase. Bandwidth can be set to Stock for the classic tone or Full Range for more low end. The Normal/Bright toggle changes the tone between a warm, full sound and a livelier one with more chime.
The pedal is true bypass with electronic relay-based switching, so audio does not pass when it has no power. It runs from a 9 V DC supply with a 2.1 mm negative-center barrel connector and should not be run at higher voltages.
