Osmo Mobile 8

Osmo Mobile 8 is a handheld three-axis phone stabilizer built on DJI's seventh-generation stabilization. Its pan axis rotates without limit through 360°, and the pan axis can be tilted forward for low-angle shots. The extension rod and tripod are built in, and the phone is held by a magnetic clamp. iPhone users can add the separately sold Magnetic Quick-Release Mount instead of the clamp. A side wheel on the handle controls zoom or focus and the fill light.

Tracking runs through the DJI Mimo app with ActiveTrack, including Dual Lens Boost on supported iPhone Pro models, and the gimbal also supports Apple DockKit. The DJI OM Multifunctional Module is needed for tracking, audio reception and lighting. It follows people, cats and dogs, responds to palm, V and double-L gestures, and has a fill light with eight brightness levels and eight colour temperatures. It can receive audio from a DJI Mic 3, Mic Mini or Mic 2 transmitter. The app also offers ShotGuides, timelapse, panorama modes, DynamicZoom and AI-powered one-tap editing.

The phone pairs over Bluetooth by tapping it on the NFC area of the handle. Operating time is about 10 hours, and the USB-C port can charge the phone. Lightning phones need a separate USB-C to Lightning cable.
