The AVR-X1800H is a seven-amplifier AV receiver that drives a 7.2 or 5.2.2 speaker layout and decodes Dolby Atmos, Dolby TrueHD, DTS:X and DTS Neural:X. It is rated at 80 W per channel into 8 ohms (20 Hz–20 kHz, 0.08%, 2-channel drive). Audyssey MultEQ XT room correction uses the supplied measurement microphone to set up each speaker.
Video is handled by six HDMI inputs (three of them 8K) and one eARC HDMI output. The HDMI section passes 8K/60 and 4K/120 and supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HLG, ALLM and VRR, with scaling up to 8K. HDMI pass-through works in standby.
For music it has HEOS built-in for multi-room playback, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Bluetooth with transmit to headphones, AirPlay 2 and Spotify Connect. Alexa, Google Assistant and Siri voice control are supported. A second zone can use speaker terminals, and there is a front USB input, an MM phono input and an FM tuner with RDS.
