The X2442USB is a 24-input, 4/2-bus analog mixer. It has 10 XENYX mic inputs, 4 stereo channels, 4 aux sends and 4 stereo aux returns. Each mono channel has a one-knob compressor with a status LED, an insert and a direct output. The channel EQ is modelled on British consoles and includes a semi-parametric mid band.
A 24-bit dual-engine Multi-FX processor offers 16 editable presets, including reverb, chorus, flanger, delay, pitch shifter and multi-effects. Time-based effects can be set by tapping tempo. Effects can be applied to any channel, the monitors and the main output, or bypassed to use external outboard gear. The mixer also has 4 subgroups, main inserts, 8 direct outs and sub outs for analog recording.
A bi-directional stereo USB audio interface connects to a PC or Mac with a single USB cable, so any source on the mixer can be recorded to a computer. Recording, editing and podcasting software is available as a free download, along with more than 150 virtual instruments and effect plug-ins.
