X-48MKII
The X-48MKII is a 48-track hybrid hard disk workstation that records to an internal 1TB drive at up to 96 kHz. It suits studios and post-production rooms that want a dedicated multitrack recorder with TDIF, timecode and 9-pin machine control. It has been discontinued.

The X-48MKII is a standalone multitrack recorder and editing workstation built around a 1TB internal hard drive formatted as NTFS. It records Broadcast Wave files at 16-bit, 24-bit or 32-bit floating point resolution, with up to 48 channels at 44.1, 48, 88.2 or 96 kHz. A wide set of pull-up and pull-down sampling rates is supported for film and video work.
Synchronisation options are extensive. The clock can come from the internal source, word clock input, either digital slot, S/PDIF input or the first TDIF port. SMPTE timecode is available on TRS jacks in a range of frame rates, and BNC word sync connectors provide input, output and thru. A 9-pin RS-422 remote port, MIDI input and output and a footswitch jack are also fitted.
Digital audio is handled by six TDIF connectors and an S/PDIF pair on RCA. Additional I/O comes from optional 24-channel analogue, AES/EBU or ADAT cards that fit the expansion slots. Computer-style connections include VGA, PS/2 keyboard and mouse, four USB 2.0 ports, gigabit Ethernet and an eSATA port.
