The HDMI iSilencer 2 is an in-line conditioner for HDMI connections. It combines an active noise cancellation stage with jitter elimination and transient voltage suppression. The noise stage is rated at more than 40 dB (about 100x) of reduction compared with common noise filters, and the suppression circuit guards connected equipment against voltage spikes, lightning strikes and electrostatic discharge.
The second generation is about 20% more compact than the first, with tapered side profiles meant to fit tight port layouts on amplifiers, TVs and receivers. A shorter body puts less strain on the connected cable and shortens the internal signal path. Despite the filtering circuitry, it passes 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 120 Hz, supports HDMI 2.1 bandwidth and handles HDR up to 8K/60 Hz.
It has an HDMI female input and an HDMI male output, so it sits directly on the device's HDMI port with the cable plugged into the back of it. A 15 cm male-to-female HDMI extension cable is included, and a manual is available to download.
