The SL Headmic Set pairs the lightweight SL Headmic 1 condenser headset, an omni-directional microphone with a metal frame that weighs 7 g without its cable, with an SL Bodypack DW transmitter and an SL Rack Receiver DW. The system is part of the SpeechLine Digital Wireless range and is tuned for speech intelligibility. It uses automatic frequency and interference management and 256-bit AES encryption.
The bodypack runs on a BA 30 rechargeable battery rated for up to 15 hours of operation. The battery can be recharged over USB, and a cable is included. The microphone connects to the bodypack through a lockable 3.5 mm jack.
The receiver has an XLR 3M output. The set comes in two versions: the -R version includes a rackmount kit (GA 4) and pouch for installing the receiver, while the -C version ships in a transport case without rackmount hardware.
