The SX-4A is an active two-way monitor built around an active crossover. A 4.5-inch NRSC paper cone woofer with a copper cap on the pole piece handles the low end, and a 1-inch silk dome tweeter takes the highs. The tweeter uses a neodymium magnet, a heat sink and ferrofluid cooling.
Each speaker is bi-amped, with 25 W driving the low-frequency driver and 15 W driving the high-frequency driver. The MDF cabinet has an extended bass reflex port, and a Bass Boost switch lets the user lift the low end to suit the room or the material.
Signal comes in through an unbalanced RCA input connector. The design suits recording and multimedia setups where a small footprint is needed. Printed user manuals are available in English, French, German, Italian, Japanese and Spanish.
