The QCon Pro XS is an expander for the QCon Pro X controller. Each unit has eight touch-sensitive motorized faders with 10-bit resolution, eight dual-function encoders (push and rotate), and mute, solo, select and record buttons per channel. An angled 12-segment LED meter bridge sits at the top, and two backlit LCDs show channel names and parameter values.
Up to seven units can be added to one main unit for 64 channels, though the usable number of extenders depends on the DAW. Mackie Control protocol is used for Cubase, Nuendo, Samplitude, Logic Pro, Studio One, Bitwig, Reason, Ableton Live and others, while Pro Tools uses Mackie HUI. The iMap software provides a user-defined MIDI Learn mode and handles firmware updates over USB.
The unit connects by USB 2.0 high speed and is class-compliant. It has a metal casing with a Kensington lock port and runs from the supplied 12V/2.5A power adapter. A software bundle is included, with Bitwig 8-Track and several plugin and DAW collections.
