The DS1000 is a sealed-cabinet subwoofer with two 10-inch sandwich aluminum woofers on HEX surrounds. Its BASH amplifier is rated at 1000 W RMS and 2000 W peak into 4 ohms. The anechoic response runs from 18 Hz to 150 Hz, extending to 15 Hz in room, with a maximum output of 115 dB SPL at 1 m.
DSP processing manages extension, output and control, and an Auto EQ function helps tune the bass to the room. Settings are adjusted from an iOS or Android app over Bluetooth Low Energy. The low-pass crossover is adjustable from 40 Hz to 150 Hz, and standby consumption is below 2.0 W.
For connections, the subwoofer offers RCA line-level (balanced) and speaker-level inputs, plus a 12 V trigger input. A USB port is used for firmware updates and an Ethernet port is provided for third-party control systems. It comes in a gloss black finish, with a grille, AC power cord and spikes supplied.
