The Jubilee MC is a moving-coil cartridge whose body is made of specially layered armored wood (Panzerholz). The shape follows the maker's V2.1 series. The wood body is chosen for low resonance and low weight. The whole system weighs 7.5 g. Each body is finished with a lacquer and polishing technique based on the violin-making tradition of the nearby town of Bubenreuth.
Inside, the stylus sits on a boron cantilever with a clearaudio Prime Line diamond cut. The coils are made of 24-carat gold and are arranged absolutely pivot-symmetrically. Output is 0.5 mV at 5 cm/s with a system impedance of 50 Ω. Frequency response is 20 Hz to 20 kHz, channel separation is better than 32 dB and channel balance is under 0.5 dB.
The recommended tracking force is 2.8 g (± 0.2 g), and stylus compliance is 15 µ/mN. As an MC cartridge it is meant to be mounted on a turntable tonearm and connected to a phono stage with MC input. The cartridge carries a 2-year manufacturer warranty when the warranty card is returned within 14 days of purchase.
