MM 1
The MM 1 is a wired omnidirectional condenser measurement microphone with a slim metal housing. It is meant for measuring room acoustics, PA and sound reinforcement systems, and for lab or industrial audio measurement.

The MM 1 is a measurement microphone built around a back-electret condenser capsule that acts as a pressure receiver. It is diffuse-field calibrated and has a linear frequency response at 90°, so rooms such as studios can be measured with little preparation. Paired with a spectrum analyser, it can be used to check frequency response and the sound pressure level of loudspeakers.
The narrow solid-metal body has a recessed capsule, which keeps its influence on the sound field low and limits the rise in high-frequency pressure. Each unit is hand-checked at the end of production, with a stated deviation of +/- 1.5 dB between 50 Hz and 16 kHz. Individual calibration data for 0° and 90° free-field measurement can be requested by e-mail.
The microphone is handmade in Germany and connects over a 3-pin XLR. It is supplied in a hard case, and it can also serve as an unconventional option for instrument recordings.
