The AVP45 is a network-connected AV processor that handles decoding, room correction and streaming for a home theatre built around separate power amplifiers. It supports up to 16 channels and decodes Dolby Atmos, Dolby TrueHD, DTS:X, DTS-HD Master, MPEG-H, IMAX Enhanced and Auro-3D. Matrix Channel Assignment lets any channel be reassigned, with subwoofers limited to channel 4 and channels 11 to 16. Dirac Live room correction is included, with Dirac Live Bass Control and Active Room Treatment available as upgrades.
All 16 channels have both balanced XLR and single-ended RCA preamp outputs. The HDMI 2.1a section has seven inputs and three outputs (two for Zone 1, one for Zone 2) and passes up to 8K/60Hz or 4K/120Hz, with HDR10+, Dolby Vision, HLG, VRR, ALLM and eARC. Digital inputs are two coaxial and two optical, and analogue inputs are three RCA pairs and one XLR pair.
For streaming it offers Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect, Apple AirPlay, Google Cast, Roon Ready, internet radio, podcasts and UPnP, over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth 5.4 with Auracast. It is operated from a 6.5-inch colour display, a backlit Bluetooth remote or the Radia AV Control app, and has control modules for Control4, Crestron, RTI and URC.
